- Electricity production was 20 293 GWh in January 2008.

- This was higher by 823 GWh, or 4.2 %, compared to January 2007.

- This was an increase of 579 GWh, or 2.9 %, compared to the previous month.

- Geoth./Wind/Solar/Other production showed the most significant percentage change compared to the previous month

with a decrease of 6 %, or 39 GWh.

- Total production for the year-to-date was 20 293 GWh. Comparing this to the same period last year shows that:

- Total production was higher by 823 GWh, or 4.2 %.

- Hydro production showed the largest percentage change by fuel type, being 9.5 % lower.

- Trade volume increased by 25 GWh, or 12 %.
